There are few people in life who truly know who they are to the core. As soon as I think I know a little about myself, BOOM, something changes. How exciting! I get to create who I want to be while having a wonderful support system and guide to help in the process.
First and foremost, I’m a Christ follower. I love that I have that influence in my journey and I’m so incredibly blessed by the people brought into my life because of my church, bible studies, conferences and my desire to learn more. I definitely would not be on the path I am currently on if not for grace and forgiveness.
I LOVE my friends and family and try to never take them for granted. I know I fail miserably at times, but they are always there to encourage and support me no matter what. The most important element of these relationships is that they allow me be me! We may not always agree and they sometimes think I’m a crazy fanatic about my lifestyle but they never allow our differences to affect their love for me. I mean it! Thank you all for being so amazing and caring.
I love to laugh. Laughter really IS the best medicine. I truly believe that and am thankful I’ve been blessed with a sense of humor. Comedy is a must in my daily life. Sometimes I find the dumbest things silly, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. This is a picture of me with my youngest brother. We have a special hilarity centered bond. I love this kid. Always a hoot!
I’m a book lover. Lately I’ve been reading more motivational or educational books than anything else and it hasn’t bored me to tears. Does this mean I’m getting old? I love that if I’m feeling down or need a push, I can get that from a book when I don’t want to be around people. This relationship I have with reading is one of my favorites and I’m blessed to have access to any book I want.
Of course, I’m a health/wellness enthusiast which is essential for the significance of this blog. I’m a vegetarian (80% vegan – it’s difficult, people!). I believe in holistic healing and I believe in the power of clean, colorful foods and the role they play in every facet of our health. Within this category is fitness – oh, what a journey! I love it – I wish I could say I knew more about it but I don’t… yet! Stay tuned.
To finish this off, I’m a wine and craft beer connoisseur. I haven’t always liked wine. (Stop laughing, friends! I wasn’t born with a wine glass in hand regardless of what you may think). I also used to HATE beer. Seriously. I’ve learned to modify my palette and am glad I did so because I would hate to miss out on the healthy food and yummy spirits. I’ve done a few wine and beer tastings within the last few years and have found that I love it! I recently joined the Loyalty Club at World of Beer. I don’t know how proud I should be of that, but I’m pretty stinking stoked!
That’s all for now, people. I’m finished rambling about my life. I hope you enjoy the blog.
